P3 & 5 PIN Parent Meeting 25

All school improvement research highlights the benefits of parental involvement for children, teachers and parents. The Northern Ireland Programme for School Improvement also supports this view. We at St Mary’s therefore aim to involve parents as much as possible and we are really pleased to begin to do in person again. In order to develop pupils’ Numeracy skills, we plan to run PIN (Parents Involved in Numeracy), for our P3 and P5 pupils over the coming weeks.

The PIN programme essentially involves attending an introduction meeting and then playing maths games at home with your child.

The initial meeting will take place next Tuesday afternoon, 29th April at 2.15pm. At the meeting you will be informed about the programme and then spend some time playing a game with your child.

We do urge you to participate in the PIN Programme with your child as it is undoubtedly beneficial and we look forward to meeting with you on Tuesday afternoon.
