World Book Day
What a fabulous time we had on World Book Day! We really enjoyed celebrating our love of books and reading! We dressed up as our favourite book characters and got a chance to parade our costumes. We designed a fridge magnet with our favourite character, and these were displayed in the front foyer and along the corridor for all to admire. Primary 5 enjoyed a visit to the local preschool, Newtownbutler Cross Community Playgroup. During their visit they got a chance to meet with the younger children and read stories to them. We enjoyed a delicious fun day dinner, thanks to the cooks in the canteen. Finally, we had a lovely end to the day with a special assembly with Mrs Kelly during which prizes were given out to three pupils in each class who had created the most impressive fridge magnets. They were able to choose a book or costume to take home and were delighted. We can’t thank parents and carers enough for all of the hard work that went into creating wonderful costumes. What an exciting buzz around school there was!
