There is great excitement in school following the victory won by Mr Sludden and the Tyrone Team in the All Ireland Semi-Final last weekend. As the final approaches anticipation is building and we had a special Red and White Day in school to show our support. Pupils and staff dressed in the Tyrone colours, with many sporting jerseys and some bringing flags. We had a visit from the local papers and even BBC’s Julian Fowler. Mr Sludden and some of the pupils in his class were interviewed and all the pupils were filmed, cheering for success. We look forward to seeing the segment being aired on BBC News NI next week.
This is a lovely celebration and morale boost for the boys and girls as they return to school. Mr Sludden continues to share not only his football skills with the children, but also his good example as a team player, who has worked hard and never gives up on his hopes and dreams.
