Primary 6 Plant Trees along the GFC Walking Path
We were delighted to recently receive a request for the pupils to help plant some trees along the wonderful walking path at the First Fermanagh Gaelic grounds. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore nature, learn about planting and care of trees and to make their mark on the local landscape. The children were astounded to hear how some of the trees are expected to live for 150-200 years. They had fun imagining how they could tell their grandchildren and great grandchildren about how they planted the trees in Primary 6. The event was made even more enjoyable, as it was an another opportunity to link up with friends from Newtownbutler P.S.
Thank-you to the First Fermanagh’s Caroline McCaffrey, Paul Johnson and the Chairperson of our Board of Governors, Eoghan Casey, for organising and helping the children during the event.
