Parent and Child Cookery Classes
Our after school parent and child cookery classes started in St Kevin’s College this week. Miss Nuala Beagan from the college is teaching the children about food safety, hygiene, preparation and cooking techniques. There was even some practise in washing up afterwards! This week everyone enjoyed making delicious tortilla pizzas. In addition to all these skills, this is a great opportunity for children to spend time with adult members of the family, create special memories and enjoy a relaxing time together. It is also a good opportunity for the children to experience what it is like to learn in a post-primary school and in particular the facilities in a home economics classroom. We look forward to lots more tasty delights over the coming weeks!
