Congratulations to P7 who attended Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception today and took a pledge, to abstain from alcohol until they are 18 and illegal drugs for life. Through Religion and Personal Development and Mutual Understanding (PDMU), the children have been learning about the dangers which alcohol and illicit drugs can present. They have also explored how they can resist peer pressure, as they grow and develop through their teenage years.
Thank-you to Fr Kevin for his thoughtful and inspiring words to the children and to those parents who were able to join us in the church and online.
