Primary 5 and the student council had the amazing opportunity to meet author David Walliams yesterday at Crom Castle. Mr Walliams explained to the children how he used people he has met as inspiration for new characters. Kyron even nominated his own teacher, Miss Mallen as inspiration for a new character. The children were captivated by Mr Walliams as he read snippets from his novels. Anna, Peadar and Tilly all had the lucky chance to ask Mr Walliams a question and they each received a copy of one of his novels. The children were delighted going home with a signed copy of ‘The Blunders’.
There are lots of happy and inspired young writers in St Mary's.
