The Literacy project with St. Kevin's College, Lisnaskea started last Wednesday (5th February) and will be taking place each Thursday morning for six weeks. This is facilitated by Mrs McMeel and three year 10 students. It is an excellent opportunity for the students to meet their future teacher and other students who they will be familiar with next year. The aim of the project is building Literacy awareness through creative writing and the children using their imagination. The first session focused on the children starting off their stories and thinking about the characters, plot and setting. It was an enjoyable start and the aim is to create a booklet where the students will publish their stories. From crazy dogs to unforgettable football matches, there was loads of creativity flowing in the room. Some pictures are shown below:
