Well done to our P7 boys who took home the Indoor 5 a side Cumann Na mBunscoil trophy at Castle Park, Lisnaskea. A fantastic achievement for the boys, the school, their families and Newtownbutler GAA. They played their heart out with each game and showed tremendous skill level, character, work rate and determination. In a tight group, the boys won their first two games versus St. Paul's, Irvinestown and Killyhommon PS. They then lost the final group game to St. Mary's PS, Maguiresbridge. That meant a 3 way play off where we had to play Killyhommon and Maguiresbridge again- this time we drew with Killyhommon and defeated Maguiresbridge. This led to the final where we met Maguiresbridge for another time. In a game that could have went either way, the boys dug in and produced a storming second half performance to win by three points and become Fermanagh indoor champions. They now go on to represent Fermanagh on the 31st March at the Meadowbank Sports Arena, Magherafelt. That should be a great day out and many thanks to all the boys and their parents for the support.
