First Fermanagh’s Inspired Pupils When They Brought The Recently Won ‘Oldest Trophy’ to Assembly
24th Oct 2022
The whole St Mary’s community have been cheering for the First Fermanagh’s on their journey to win the Fermanagh Championship. James Maguire and Jarlath Jackman brought the trophy to both assemblies and left it in school this week. Everyone was interested to hear about the commitment, positive attitude, team spirit and hard work that ensured the trophy came back to Newtownbutler. The pupils were keen to ask questions and share their delight and pride in the local team. Jim in P2 was especially proud of his dad James, who captained the team. Best wishes to the First Fermanagh’s for their next match on 6th November when they play the first round of the Ulster championship.
