Firework Safety Talk
17th Oct 2019
The boys and girls enjoyed a talk from the PSNI about how to stay safe over Halloween. They were reminded that only those over 18 years of age are allowed to buy or use fireworks and that if they are watching, it should be from a safe distance. The community officer Constable Colin reminded the children that they should wear gloves when using sparklers, hold them at arm’s length and never pick one up from the ground as they remain hot for some time. The pupils weare advised to always have adult company when trick or treating and to keep a safe distance from bonfires. We hope that the messages are remembered and that everyone has a safe and happy Halloween.
