Boys qualify for Indoor Gaelic football Fermanagh finals

3rd Dec 2019

Our P7 boys and girls travelled to Castle Park, Lisnaskea to take part in an indoor Gaelic football blitz last Friday. It was 5 a side tournament and involved games being played in 5 min slots.

The boys came out of a tough group, defeatingAghadrumsee, Kinawley and Tattygar whilst drawing with Teemore. We then met St. Ronan’s Lisnaskea in the semi-final and came through a real tight affair. Lisnaskea took advantage of a penalty goal and played very well. Ryan Crudden made a great penalty save which galvanised the boys and two clinical goals by Jack Crudden meant we won the game. The game could have gone anyway, however the boys dug in to get through to the main final which should be taking place in the new year. Well done to all the lads!

Boys Team: Ryan, Dara, Liam, Jack, Oran, Aidan,  Oisin, Conor K  and Conor C.

The girls were very unlucky not to qualify for the semi-finals after a strong finish. Unfortunately, we lost our first two games (one by a point) and that put us on the back foot in the table. However, the girls won their last two against Kinawley and Tattygar. They never gave up and will be back stronger from this for the other blitzes. Well done to all the girls!

Girls Team: Orla, Tara, Mollie, Hollie, Emma, Katie, Kirsty and Saoirse.
